Heat Geek is an international organisation that applies installation standards based on science and measurement. A certified installer first calculates your home’s heat loss, sizes the system correctly and commissions it precisely. The result: a heat pump that is quieter, has lower energy use and heats comfortably, instead of an oversized system that short-cycles and wears out faster.
We combine technical depth with personal craftsmanship. As a certified Heat Geek installer we always work based on a heat loss calculation, not on feeling or a standard package. We are small enough for personal contact, but have the knowledge and certifications (Heat Geek, F-gas) for complex projects. You always receive honest advice, even if that means a heat pump is (not yet) the best choice for your home.
The F-gas certification (officially: certificate for fluorinated greenhouse gases) is legally required for technicians working with refrigerants in heat pumps and air conditioning. Only certified companies may install, fill or repair these systems. MB Klimaattechniek holds the required F-gas certification, which means our installations comply with all legal standards and you are not at risk of illegal or unsafe installations.
Our process consists of four steps: (1) Inspection and measurement, we visit your home and perform a heat loss calculation. (2) Advice and quote, you receive a detailed custom quote, including subsidy amounts and net investment. (3) Installation, our technicians install the system neatly and professionally, usually within one to two days. (4) Commissioning and handover, we carefully configure the system, explain everything and only leave once everything is working properly.
Yes, this is part of our standard procedure. We calculate your home’s heat loss according to the Heat Geek method, based on floor areas, insulation values, windows and the measured output temperatures of your radiators or underfloor heating. This way we determine exactly what capacity is needed and which brand and model fits best. Without this calculation we do not issue a heat pump quote.
We always work with a custom quote because every home and situation is different. A fixed price sounds attractive but often leads to over- or undersizing. Our quote is transparent: you see exactly the material costs, labour costs and the subsidy settlement. This way you know exactly what you pay and what you get.
Yes. For the ISDE subsidy, the installer and the installed device must meet certain requirements. We exclusively work with heat pumps on the official RVO product list and guide you through the application process. In most cases we settle the subsidy directly in the quote, so you pay the net amount and we handle the application.
We offer a 2-year labour warranty on our installation work. In addition, the manufacturer warranties of the heat pump itself apply, typically 2 to 5 years depending on the brand, sometimes longer upon registration. Annual maintenance is required to maintain the manufacturer warranty. We fully inform you about this at handover.
